Fanny Hill is full-fledged 18th-century porn. And, for my essay, I'm cataloging the euphemisms used for various men's penises. ...It's proving to be rather educational, in a slightly surreal manner. And, y'know, it'll be completely useless unless I suddenly start writing romance novels (and, if I do, please consider it a sign of the apocalypse). Although, I'll grant the author ability - the euphemisms change and match the careers of the men involved. The grenadier, for example, gets gun- and cannon-related descriptions. *shrugs* I suppose that's as educational as anything else. Though I can think of other things I'd rather be doing on a Saturday evening than attempting to pull an essay out of this mess.
