Profoundly mundane observations
Jan. 17th, 2005 09:12 pmI have finally been able to log on! In other words, my computer has been acting like a complete bitch. And has been sulking. Highly unappreciated.
So. Brief recap. I had breakfast with Anne on Thursday. Those who need to know about this have been told. For everyone else, suffice it to say that I was a fucking mess, and that it needed friends and triple-chocolate cookies. And that this should all have been dealt with a fucking long time before it actually was. In addition to the job, this was not the most productive week of my life.
That said... Saturday night was great fun. Murder-mystery thing, including various costumes, wonderful people to meet, and rather nummy food. And geek-ish conversations, which, as all who know me will vouch for, are my favorites. *nods* So, yes. I had a wonderful time - thanks to those who were there, really.
I've been pondering on the various books I've been wanting, due to a rather marvelous birthday present from
sandman7. Charles DeLint's The Blue Girl looks rather interesting, but my sister might have it (in which case, I shall borrow it from her, naturally). The O'Brian book I've been wanting is also rather tempting. And there are some art and photography books which have been the cause of much admiration. And... *sigh* I like books too much. And yes, this is possible. Now, then - I got a CD in the mail today (thanks Pip!), so I'll be off to listen to that. While either reading or cleaning, depending on how productive I feel.
So, this week... anyone wanting to come to the Buffy-night should be aware that it will probably be held on either Thursday or Friday. Mondays are henceforth blocked out for me, due to both work and writing group. And this week is more or less out for anything other than brief meetings, due to my already being behind on readings for class. Next weekend will be spent at my mother's. Anyone wanting brief meetings, however, should get a hold of me... I'll be quite pleased to see you, really!
