I spent yesterday with Katherine and ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
em_fish - shopping, actually. Which was sorta fun. 'cause it was as much chatting and ice cream and stopping for breaks in the sun and the like... so I bought this really cool skirt (I think it's from India or something - bright red, with silver thread and patterns, and it swishes when I walk. Swishy skirts make me happy.) and a dress that makes me look ohmigod. So, yay. And then em_fish came back to my place, and we watched movies and talked until 2:30 in the morning, at which time she took at taxi home. It was lovely - she's wonderful to talk to, and has lots of interesting insights to things I haven't really thought about. So, again, yay.
So, I met up with her for coffee/breakfast/lunch today, and we looked through books, ate, and wandered to Katherine's, and then wandered up to tamtams on Mount Royal. Where we met up withhyperallergina. And ohmigod there were a lot of people. Lots of tams, lots of hippie-like folk, lots of dogs, and babies, and people dancing, and sun, and it was so, so nice. Especially the sun. And then a guy I know ran into where we were sitting and soaking up the sun, and we chatted, and he was nice and funny. And then we walked around and watched people dancing, and it was even more wonderful. And then we found the people doing battle-swordfights-whatever they were, and Chris dragged me into that (not that I was complaining at all), and it was SO fun. Although it is really different from what I'm used to - fencing is very stylised, and the foils swish. These things, forget style and hack. Which I've got to learn how to do so as not to get 'killed' so easily. But if I can learn how... I am SO going back there. *bounces*

So, friends and sunlight and tamtams and people dancing and swordfights and pitched battles on the side of the mountain. Anyone got any better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
