All right. You guys know me. You know how I am when I'm tired. Or after a rather useless meeting. Or after people have been AT me all damn day. But all three together, and still managing to fake a smile and be polite... now, that's gotta be a record. And yes, I'm back at my parents place. How could you possibly tell. Although... that room in the attic? Is actually quite nice. And my brother is a darling, despite us getting into a House/Simpsons wrestling match over the remote control (he's small, but muscled, and has no issues whatsoever with digging bony elbows and knees into ribs, not to mention the kicks). The one time a sarcastic TV show is on, and the kid wants to watch the Simpsons.Which, for the record, my mom won't let him do (not that I really care about that, but I do think it's rather insignificant). So: Grr.

And my mother changed her mind about lending me the car for Fest this year, which means a frantic scramble to beg/borrow/plead/rent a car from someone or someplace else. Some days, I really really really want my own car. And then I remember the parking issues, the insurance issues, the car-breaking-down issues... and I decide that, really, I'm quite happy with public transport, and that the Montreal metro is the most wonderful thing in the city (of course, THAT opinion changes when I'm late getting somewhere and the metro stalls AGAIN, but you get the point.)

Also. Just as a random point. I really dislike using someone else's computer. Especially if I'm in someone else's office while I'm using said computer. 'cause, well... it means that I can't drag it to someplace out of the way, and randomly do whatever I chose. It also means that I've got to deal with people walking behind me, inquiring as to what I'm doing, and just randomly being what I consider annoying (although they probably see it as being interested in my life or some such thing). Still. I want that laptop. Which I was supposed to get today, but it turns out that my mother hasn't ordered it like she said she would (she gets a major discount because of her company)... at this point, I'm almost ready to pay for it myself, if only so that I'd actually GET the thing. Which I was supposed to get six months ago, mind you. But then I remember the balance on my credit card, sigh, and tell myself that realyl, this is a good thing, and that waiting isn't quite so bad.

Also... David Usher tomorrow! Yay!

And now, to bed. Because I really do need more than two hours of sleep to make it through the day, y'know.
