Right. Today, I was supposed to go to class, study a bit, and hang out with some friends.

This got cancelled.

By a cold, and a headache.

Neither of which, on their own, are horrible. But together, the not-being-able-to-move (because of pain from the headache), combined with not being able to breathe (cold), not being able to put anything cold over my eyes (to help with the headache and block out the light) because that put pressure on my sinuses.. you get the picture. Basically, I called my friends, left messages that I wasn,t going anywhere, dosed myself with meds, and crawled back into bed.

And so, I'm up again, vaguely mobile, dosed up to the gills with meds, and feeling more than a little doped up. Which is altogether better than the oh-god-I'm-gonna-pass-out-or-hurl feeling that I had earlier.

*sigh* I hate getting colds. They're not harmful; they just make you feel completely miserable. And I hate migraines. And both of them together... they hate me.

And I promise, after this, I'll stop complaining.

I have the Best Roommate Ever.

She came home to find me giggling on the couch (for the record, cold meds, cough meds, and migraine meds probably aren't the best mix). Laughed at me, and then offered to go fetch chicken noodle soup from the store (apparently, it's cold, and she was up for soup-supper as well). And she got doughnuts from that greek bakery-place near her work. And she is the Best Roommate Ever. Just 'cause.

Oh, and I got Anansi Boys in the mail today. But when the post-office-guy was ringing the doorbell to deliver, my head hurt too much to actually get up, so it's currently at the post office. Which is on the way back from the grocery store. And have I mentionned recently how much I like my roommate?
