There is something altogether appealing about sitting in a coffee shop, with a laptop, and out of reach of the phone. So that, say, the idiots I work with aren't able to reach me.

... because, seriously, getting pissy phone calls bitching at me for documents they 'haven't recieved' (despite the fed-ex confirmation and 3 e-mail confirmations I recieved from them saying that they HAVE) first thing in the morning is reason enough to be far away from the phone.

Also, coffee.

And possibly cinnamon pastries.

And friends this weekend. The trip to Valet will be Sunday, fyi.

I should be doing work, rather than compulsively checking livejournal. But it's still more interesting than actually doing any work, so, really, it isn't the end of the world. I think.

Also, it's the first of december, and I'm already sick of Christmas songs playing everywhere. This does not bode well for the coming month.

Supper was wonderful. I made chicken. In the sense of an entire roasted chicken, with couscous and wine and apple crisp and Jen brought danishes, and it was really really cool. And I had friends over, and we had food and sat around and talked, and I see bits of my social life creeping back into place.

Thanks for coming over, guys. I missed you. :)
