I'm currently watching Kingdom of Heaven (as to a friend's recommendation) because I decided to skip class due to continued headache. (The headache isn't as annoying as a usual migraine, since it only actually hurts unbearably when I move. Therefore, leaving the apartment, or moving in any way, isn't an option, but propping my head up on a pillow and watching movies - with the sound turned very low - and reading actually is an option. So yay for lazy afternoons, I guess. And to hopes that it'll be gone before evening, since I have Plans.) Anyways, right now, I'm actually impressed by this movie. Well, considering I was expecting another load of Shite along the lines of the King Arthur and Troy massacres, I don't think there was far down to go. But... this actually seems somewhat more acceptable. In the sense that they're not fucking over history in EVERY possible way, the script is actually well-written, the speeches aren't entirely overbearing, and the camera-work is decent. So, I'm not saying it's the best movie ever... but damn, it's an improvement over what we've been tortured with lately. Despite a few issues I've got with this movie... well, let's just say it could've been a lot worse, it is a MAJOR improvement over the other movies that've been coming out lately, and that hopefully we'll get something better than this the next time around.

I also finished reading Snow Crash, and I'm Highly Impressed. The beginning just plain sucked me in, and the ending spit me out going 'wha?? But... what?', or something equally articulate. Good book. Could make a bloody fantastic movie. Seriously.

Also, The Boyfriend seems permanently attached to the phone, which isn't something I've got a problem with, per se. Actually, it's quite nice. Despite slightly surreal conversations.
