Aug. 20th, 2005 10:47 pmI'm currently at my mother's, and I'm about to go up the damn wall. However, I have an internet connection (even if a snail could probably go faster), and so I'm clinging desperately to the sane vestiges of my life. That said, my mother's being cool, my dad's insane in a rather funny way (we're talking chicken-dances in the kitchen and annoying my sister, both of which are rather funny), and my sister's a darling despite PMSing, and my brother is his usual adorable self. He's quite excited that his soccer team is currently ranking first in his age group for the city's soccer tournament, and has been kicking the ball around outside - thus getting him out of my hair and letting me read. What a darling. :)
That said. This laptop is wonderful, very nice, and enough people managed to not secure their internet connection that I could send e-mails from the bus. Which kinda rocks, if you think about it.
And I read a really great book (Almost Like Falling in Love) that had me giggling in my coffee cup, and had my brother looking over at me every five minutes and saying 'what is it NOW?', and is there really anything better than exasperating family members through literature.
In terms of next week's scheduling - I'll be free starting Tuesday evening-ish, but I'm not sure about that. I'll be out of town again on Thursday and coming back either Friday evening or Saturday during the day, depending on whether I stop by my grandpa's - and, since he's not doing so great, I'd really like to stop by there, y'know? So, Gravitation would be really cool for Wednesday, if Genevieve doesn't work (oh roommate dear? Are you working?), and if that's cool with everyone else. So, I'll try to call you guys - or let me know here, since I can (yay!) get online).
Oh, and I know that someone asked me to do something sometime during labor day weekend, but I've blanked out, and there seems to be a family reunion (god help me) on the Sunday. So, whoever it was - please remind me who/what/where/when we were talking about?
