Started reading Daniel Quinn’s Ishmael, because of a friend’s recommendation. Interesting, though not very practical. It reminds me of those 60’s novels, which never seem to get to the point, and are ridiculously obsessive over the happiness of all creatures. *snort* Of course. Such a terribly practical goal, this.

I find that Machiavelli is much better when it comes to social philosophy, and much more applicable. A lot more cold-blooded, as well, though this is usually only a problem for those who haven’t yet noticed that hippies were supposed to stay in the 60s. Though the entire philosophy should be tempered with some sympathy, I believe that some people are superior to others, and that denying this rather obvious fact is blinding one’s self to truths that are made more and more clear every day. Dubya is a prime example of the intelligence and ability of a shrub.

‘ve also been reading Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Serious reading it isn’t, but absolutely hilarious reading nevertheless.

And so, I’ve spent the day reading. And drinking indecent amounts of Tea. Altogether agreeable, that.

Oh. One last thing. A few people (2, which isn’t an enormous preoccupation, though it's rather annoying) have been de-friending me. I don’t know why, since I don’t think I’ve terminally annoyed anyone within the last few days. However, if I’ve somehow annoyed someone to that point, a basic reply to a post with a reason would be appreciated. Politely, if possible, though I’ll accept the alternative.
