Hanging out with friends last week, I was told that I apparently have geek-dar: the ability to locate the nearest geeky object or person in less than three seconds. I'm not at all displeased with this - it's an altogether useful skill to have.
That said, it would be a lot easier to concentrate on yet another depressing Canadian novel (of the makes-you-want-to-slit-your-wrists genre - rape and child abuse included) if I wasn't wanting to watch Stargate.
However, it's beautiful out, so I'm going to go fetch some books at the library, and then I'm going to read those books while sitting in the sun. Screw depressing novels - I'm really not in the mood for yet more descriptions of how horrible life can be. It's a beautiful day, and I'm happy about it, and I'd like to stay that way. So... Italian history it is, apparently.
